 Exploring nature, discovering the universe, opening our hearts and living our dreams through art!



Creativity breaths within us all. Projects are all nature based focusing on a deeper appreciation and understanding for our environment. Skills, focus and technique are all qualities we learn along way in fun classes.


This term includes:
  • Recycled sea creatures - inspired by Simon Bannister's installation at the aquarian made from beach wash up. 
  • Wild Mapping - treasure maps across unknown lands using old maps we draw and collage in our own journeys through perilous mountains and oceans...
  • Wishing trees - making a wall size indigenous tree with he branches filled with indigenous birds and poetry
  • Dreaming Waters - watercolours and pencil sketching

Teacher Background:
Kate taught art through her studies at Michealis School of Fine Art UCT (BA HON 2003). She has continued to create and sell art work while furthering her qualifications and skills in environmental studies and project mangement. From 2010 to the end of 2012 she set up and ran the education for Landmark Foundation's Leopard and Predator Project reaching over 8000 children in that time with interactive presentations, puppet shows and art competitions. She is now based in Muizenberg furthering her studies in animal communication and working with Theatre for Africa.
